Adding Pinyin means writing pronunciation next to or instead of a line of characters. Teachers use it for beginners. Editors use it to check a name. Learners use it when a character is new.
ChineseDocConverter can generate Pinyin from pasted text or from an uploaded file. That is a pronunciation layer. It does not convert 简体 to 繁體. Do character conversion first if you need both.

Limits
Polyphones (多音字) exist. 行 can be xíng or háng. A library guesses from context and can be wrong. Check names and textbook example sentences.
